Not out… #CloseMatters#AUSvIND | @GilletteAU (@cricketcomau) January 18, 2019After the first ODI on January 12, India vice-captain Rohit Sharma had said the ideal number for MS Dhoni was No.4. It is no secret that Virat Kohli himself wanted Dhoni to bat higher up the order. Finally, in Adelaide, Dhoni walked out at No.4 and played an innings to remember.India were chasing a far lower total in Melbourne and it was again Dhoni who walked out to bat at No.4. He added 54 for the third wicket with Kohli and kept India in the hunt after Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan were dismissed cheaply.Dhoni’s return to form is a huge relief for India. In 2018, he had struggled in South Africa and was even booed at Lord’s where he failed to accelerate even as India chased a steep total against England. Also Read | Who will take my interview on Chahal TV?
