She replaces Annaleigh Ashford, who is departing the production for her role on Showtime’s Masters of Sex. Meanwhile, Cortney Wolfson, who was in the production’s ensemble, moves up to the part of Nicola, with Anna Eilinsfeld taking over her previous place in the cast. De Waal most recently played Glinda on the Wicked national tour and has also been seen off-Broadway in Carrie, in the West End in We Will Rock You and on Broadway in American Idiot. Wolfson has also been seen on Broadway in The Addams Family and Les Miz. As previously announced, Tony winner Billy Porter will remain in the show in the big boots of Lola.
