I was recently pleasantly surprised when my wife answered a knock at the front door. It was 1993 grad, Greg Strobel. Greg ran for me in cross country and track during his 4-year stint at Batesville High School.Greg, like many cross country runners, is still actively participating in this physical activity. The day he stopped he had just participated in a biathlon event in Ohio where he ran and biked. You can tell that Greg is very into this sport by his excellent physical condition.Greg’s family is staying with the running tradition as his son, a junior at Meade County High School in Kentucky, is a fine cross country runner in his own right. The Stroebel family is still represented on the Batesville track team where his niece, Danielle, and nephew, Robert, have both pole vaulted. It is great to keep up with past athletes and hear about their own families and how they are doing. Greg works at Fort Knox in Kentucky. Thanks for stopping, Greg!
