FOOTBALL: DONEGAL SCHOOLBOYS LEAGUE NEWS, RESULTS AND FIXTURES

first_imgDONEGAL SCHOOLBOYS LEAGUEUPDATE Donegal Schoolboys had four teams in action at the week-end all competing in the opening round of the Inter-League Series 2013. Our Under-12s travelled to Inishowen where they lost out by two goals to nil. That was to be our only reversal of the week-end as the other three teams recorded victories, all against Inishowen opposition. The Under-13 side played on Sunday in a match that was switched from Ballyare to Rab’s Park in Kerrykeel. Joseph Mc Gill of Convoy Arsenal got the important goal to ensure an opening day victory for the Johnny Keys managed side. The Under-15s travelled to Inishowen and recorded a victory , winning with the only goal of the match scored by Paul Carr. Gerry Rodden’s Under-16 side hosted the lads from the Inishowen League in Gweedore on Saturday afternoon and comfortably won by five goals to nil. Ciaran Maloney (2), Kieran Mc Pherson and Adam Mc Hugh (2) were the players on target. Mc Hugh’s brace capped a special week for the Leitir family who saw Adam’s older brother Carl help Bradford City to a Wembley Cup Final slot when they took victory over Aston Villa on Tuesday night at Villa Park. Carl himself is a former Donegal Schoolboys player and the League wish him all the best for February 24th when he will hopefully line out against Swansea at Wembley.RESULTS:Inter-League SeriesUnder-12s Inishowen 2 v 0 DonegalUnder-13sDonegal 1 v 0 InishowenUnder-15sInishowen 0 v 1 DonegalUnder-16s Donegal 5 v 0 InishowenSouth Division:Under-12sErne Wanderers 7 v 2 Drumbar United Donegal/Killymard 4 v 0 DunkineelySt. Catherines 3 v 1 Eany CelticErne Celtic 1 v 3 DunkineelySt. Catherines 6 v 0 Erne UnitedEany Celtic 3 v 2 Donegal TownUnder-14 LeagueErne Celtic 1 v 3 Dunkineely CelticSt. Catherines 6 v 0 Erne UnitedEany Celtic 3 v 2 Donegal TownEast Division:Under-12 LeagueCastlefin Celtic 3 v 3 Curragh AthleticDrumkeen United 1 v 4 Raphoe TownFintown Harps 3 v 4 Ballybofey UnitedUnder-16 LeagueCurragh Athletic 6 v 0 Fintown harpsCurragh Athletic 4 v 2 Drumkeen UnitedLetterkenny and Northwest Divisions:No matches playedFIXTURES:East Division:Tuesday 29-1-2013Under-12 Cup Final K.O. 7.30 p.m.Drumkeen United v Raphoe Town (Convoy)Saturday 2-2-2013 K.O. 12.30 p.m.Under-12 LeagueRaphoe Town v Curragh AthleticDrumkeen United v Convoy ArsenalCappry Rovers v Ballybofey UnitedSaturday 2-2-013 K.O. 10.30 a.m.Under-16 LeagueFintown Harps v Castlefin CelticDrumkeen United v Cappry RoversLetterkenny Division:Saturday 2-2-2013Under-12 Premier League K.O. 10.30 a.m.Swilly Rovers v Bonagee UnitedUnder-14 Premier League K.O. 12.15 p.m.Bonagee United v Swilly RoversGlencar v Ballyraine UnitedUnder-16 Premier League K.O. 2 p.m.Swilly Rovers v Letterkenny RoversNorthwest Division:Saturday 2-2-2013Under-16sKeadue Rovers v Glenea UnitedSouth Division:Saturday 2-2-2013Under-14 League K.O. 2p.m.Drumbar United v Eany CelticDonegal Town v St. CatherinesErne United v Erne CelticDunkineely Celtic Free WeekendFOOTBALL: DONEGAL SCHOOLBOYS LEAGUE NEWS, RESULTS AND FIXTURES was last modified: January 27th, 2013 by BrendaShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)Tags:FOOTBALL: DONEGAL SCHOOLBOYS LEAGUE NEWSRESULTS AND FIXTURESlast_img read more
